Casa Hogar Los Angelitos

The Children's Foundation is an international non-profit corporation which provides funding through contributions and fund raising events for such projects as: "CASA HOGAR LOS ANGELITOS" (CHLA), a children's home in Mexico. The Children's Foundation mission through CHLA is to provide homes and care for homeless, abandoned, orphaned, desperate and abused children. Casa Hogar Los Angelitos provides full time care for children and has provided long term and temporary care for over 300 children since 1995. Casa Hogar Los Angelitos is located in the area of Manzanillo, Colima, Mexico.

Ministerios de Amor

"Ministries of Love" or "Ministerios de Amor" was created to provide nutritional and medical relief as well as educational opportunity to children and families suffering from extreme poverty. This program ministers to migrant workers temporarily located in the region who find themselves in desperate circumstances and to poverty stricken communities as well as children suffering from extreme poverty in the mountains of southern Mexico. Ministries of Love began March, 2003... In March 2010 “Ministerios de Amor” celebrated 7 years of service to outlying communities in Manzanillo and to the extremely poor in the state of Guerrero providing bulk food, clothing and medical care to those who are suffering from extreme poverty. Funding for Ministries of Love is provided through special contributions and volunteers that choose to contribute specifically to this program.

The F.E.E.D. Scholarship

The F.E.E.D. Scholarship was established in 1995 by David and Nancy Nystrom in memory of their son Fred Eckdahl and business partner David H. Stainton and is comprised of the Fred Eckdahl Educational Development Scholarship Fund and the David H. Stainton Trust Fund. It is estimated that every year many students are excluded from continued education because of financial limitations, GPA reasons, family situations, past or special circumstances that prevent the availability of financial aid. The F.E.E.D scholarship was established with the hope of providing a financial assistance and encouragement for young people who might other wise "fall through the cracks"

Educational and Cultural Programs

CHLA provides general education for children and youth who would not have had that opportunity. Providing tutoring support, materials, dedicated teachers and special programs … developing skills for social, cultural and educational success.

Our mission through our education programs is to break the cycle of poverty and ignorance by providing the life-changing educational tools necessary for youth to become productive, self-fulfilled members of their society. Through the programs of Casa Hogar Los Angelitos, children can become healthy as a whole child. Children can change the future of the world.
