Expressive Arts

We believe in the power of the arts!

TCF Expressive Arts program’s main project is Ballet Folklórico Los Angelitos and is embarking on a future project; Centro Cultural Los Angelitos. Also the arts are used extensively at Casa Hogar Los Angelitos children’s home.

•    Ballet Folklórico Los Angelitos

The Ballet Folklórico Los Angelitos is a dance company founded by Nancy Nystrom as part of her efforts to provide a unique opportunity to children of Casa Hogar Los Angelitos to develop life-changing values, cultural and social skills, self discipline, confidence and help to overcome the traumas of their past. It has become an incentive for scholastic excellence and a vehicle for learning through world travel.

First formed in 2007  the Ballet is a Youth-Leadership Program for both children and teenagers from Casa Hogar Los Angelitos and local kids from the community of Manzanillo. And has performed both nationally and internationally.

All the members of the ballet must pass pre-requisites to become a member; including maintaining excellent grades, a positive attitude and the desire to participate in a demanding schedule of practices and performances.

If you live in the Manzanillo and are interested in being part of the Ballet Folklórico Los Angelitos, please send inquires to: info@tcfcares.org
